Read more about our values and how we work here.

What do We Do?

Our core area of work is podcasting: teaching others how to launch, grow and monetise their own show. We publish a range of free resources on a regular basis on our website,; blogging and podcasting regularly, and producing videos and written tutorials for our audience.

We also engage on social media, interacting with fans of the website and answering questions from around the world.

We earn our living in three main ways:
  1. Running a Software as a Service (SAAS) web application, Alitu, which is a tool to help people create a podcast. SAAS growth & marketing is a really interesting and growing area, and you'll help us create our strategy around that.
  2. Supporting a close community of all-in media creators within our paid course library: The Podcast Host Academy. The community contains courses, resources and live-taught events to help anyone learn how to run a better show.
  3. Affiliate and Sponsorship related to our free content. This means researching customer problems and needs, and creating content that really helps them. This is then monetised through product recommendations, sponsorship and other methods.

What will You Do?

Your job will be focused on building funnels, converting visitors into leads, and managing some of our organic and paid channels.

You’ll work closely with our Head of Growth to plan and execute campaigns to grow our software business, Alitu, and increase traffic and leads to our content site, The Podcast Host.

Key day-to-day responsibilities

Funnel Building & Lead Nurturing

You’ll have a lot of inbound traffic and 10 years worth of quality blogs, resources, and courses at your disposal to convert visitors into customers. Our goal is to build a set of segmented funnels, guiding our readers to the most appropriate products for their problems.

From ads, to copy, to landing pages, to email sequences, you’ll spend most of your time converting our traffic into customers.

Conversion Rate Optimisation

Optimising the pages that exist, and the landing pages in our conversion funnels will be an ongoing and iterative job. This means taking a key part in our growth engine, from idea to implementation.

You’ll be given the tools to measure and implement changes rapidly, working closely with the Head of Growth on strategy.

Paid Channel Management

Management of selected paid channels with the goal of generating leads and sales, taking on the channels you’re most comfortable with.

This means managing budget, ads and ad sets, audience and keyword research. Guiding that paid traffic to the funnels you have built to convert them into leads and sales.

Progression Opportunities

Our growth plans are significant, and you’ll be joining us at a key moment in that journey.

We’re looking for a passionate, skilled person to grow into the role of digital marketing manager, with the opportunity to manage a team of channel managers and specialists in the future.

You’ll be supported on this journey of course! With internal guidance, and a budget for external courses and conference attendance to help you along the way.

To be clear: We want to build a world class growth team, and we want you to play a key role.

  • Schedule – Flexible working hours

  • Location – Fully remote, option to work at our Edinburgh office in Scotland

  • Benefits – The usual basics, and growing as we do: holiday pay (4 weeks per year), pensions, staff parties, etc. We're still small, so we can't quite compete with huge open offices and tonnes of freebies, but we make up for that in flexibility, work balance, a close-knit team, and your ability to really make a difference in an early stage, growing company with a loyal fanbase.
