We are adding an analytical Director to our Client Services Team -

5+ years experience in paid search required.

The Director will be accountable for all aspects of their assigned clients Paid Search campaigns. The candidate should have management qualities and experience to be able to mentor each of the positions under them (ie Strategists and Specialists). The role requires business acumen, experience in retail and E-commerce verticals, advanced technical knowledge of SEM technology, creative energy and a passion for working in performance driven environments while fostering strong work ethic within the team. SEO and Media Experience is a plus.

Give me a breakdown of what an Director at Brainlabs does:

Client Management Responsibilities:
  • Measured on revenue retention and growth and client satisfaction scores for 1-3 key, enterprise level, complex clients
  • Day to day management includes managing client relationships, monitoring capacity of client teams, project manager for tactical execution, overseeing profitability of accounts
  • Recognise opportunities, threats and risks and carry out or assign actions to minimise client churn and maximise client growth
  • Develop relationships with senior client contacts, discussing business updates, getting feedback etc.
  • Have a view of the big picture performance vs. goals, ensure the client knows how well we re doing, and ensure innovative pieces of work are being carried out
  • Sets the standard and/or creates best practices for client delivery and innovation, training, and thought leadership in area of expertise
  • Prepare, present, and execute integrating marketing strategies aligned with client goals, including cross-sell opportunities
  • Communicate client performance regularly and ensure we fulfill on client contracts and promised strategy
  • Perform regular analyses and make data-driven recommendations, following our 'test and learn' methodology
  • Implement responsibility assignment matrix (e.g. RACI) across client accounts for effective delegation, internal and external communications, and project management
  • Lead client meetings and business review preparation, preferably via video conference - prepare the agenda or deck and ensure we take notes
  • Implement & use Brainlabs tools on all accounts
  • Ensures that systems are in place for QA checks to be conducted on a regular basis for all accounts under management
  • Manage team of PPC Strategists and Specialists to accomplish brand performance goals, contribute to team initiatives, and foster career development
  • Active participation in identifying new and improved processes to improve PPC performance, streamline campaign management and support team scaling
  • Develop and maintain a professional knowledge of new emerging trends
  • Partner with Data and Analytics resources to identify ways to advance PPC reporting & automation
  • Assume leadership role of special PPC team projects as needed
Leadership responsibilities
  • Mentor indirect managees utilizing a strengths-based coaching approach to prepare them to lead client accounts, including communication, calls, meetings, and emails.
  • Model strong leadership including alignment to company priorities and philosophies, effective stress and emotion self-management, as well as a positive and patient demeanor with the team
  • Cultivates an atmosphere that embraces diversity and inclusion within the team and agency
  • Actively participant in wider company initiatives including, but not limited to new business pitches and internal marketing efforts
Cross/Up-Sell Responsibilities:
  • Be a source of knowledge and advice - when it comes to what services Brainlabs can provide, cross selling opportunities, wider industry knowledge, case studies, best practice updates etc. and proactively make suggestions
  • Coordinate cross channel work on your clients
  • Hold internal strategy planning sessions with account team and align strategy across channels
  • Surface and act on cross-sell and client growth opportunities

Essential Skills
  • Uncompromising accountability with your clients and their goals where you are driven and ultimately responsible for successful outcomes, but understand the value of and runs towards delegating day-to-day task execution
  • Demonstrated proficiency of paid media platforms (Google, Bing, SA360), and/or other search platforms (e.g. Apple Search, Quora)
  • Demonstrated proficiency of GMP suite (GA360, CM360, Google Merchant Center, Data Studio)
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Business Intelligence and Data Collection softwares (e.g. Tableau, Funnel, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency of keyword research & competitor analysis tools (SEMRush, SpyFu, etc.)
  • Exceptional organizational, project, and time management skills
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills which enables you to adapt to varying audiences, motivate others, and share actionable insights from data
  • Possess keen critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Exceptional skills with Microsoft Office and/or Google Business Apps, especially Excel or Google Sheets

Essential Experience
  • Minimum 5-years hands-on client-facing, paid search experience for a variety of clients with monthly spend greater than $100k dollars
  • Previous project management and leadership experience with the ability to effectively manage talents, resources, and a shared sense of urgency for success
  • Minimum of 3-year team-management experience
  • Experience with creating client strategy, communication, management, and proactive account performance troubleshooting
  • Four-year degree in any field
Desirable Experience
  • Previous agency experience
  • Previous experience participating in prospect pitches
  • Proven track record of success meeting client KPI s
  • Minimum of 4-year team-management experience with track record of direct report promotions
