Blue Sky eLearn is looking for an "online learning evangelist" who believes in the power of virtual events. The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Blue Sky eLearn is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified sales opportunities for the Business Development team. BDRs develop and execute multi-target and multi-threaded outbound sales communications for targeted organizations. Daily research, prospecting, and multi-format outreach activities will be a critical component to secure a steady flow of qualified opportunities and a strong pipeline to achieve revenue goals.

A BDR's day at Blue Sky eLearn will consist of researching, prospecting, educating, qualifying, and developing accounts and leads. You will deliver the Blue Sky eLearn value proposition, articulate Blue Sky eLearn products, and overcome common objections over the phone and email. We seek a capable and dynamic individual with a tenacious and coachable attitude. You must be comfortable with technology and a self-starter. Strong attention to detail and ability to internalize and apply feedback will be critical to your success.

  • Follow the established Blue Sky eLearn sales process to manage a high-activity pipeline of leads
  • Persuade Director, VP, and C-level executives of the value of our products and services
  • Regularly interact with prospects via telephone, email, and social media
  • Research accounts, identify key staff, generate outbound interest and develop relationships to stimulate opportunity
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
  • Become a trusted resource and develop long-lasting relationships with prospects
  • Track and update prospect records in Saleforce with detail regarding organization info, tools used, competition, market trends, future needs, prospect interaction and other relevant information.
  • Consistently achieve qualified prospect quotas to ensure revenue objectives
  • Collaborate with Business Development team to ensure continuous process optimization
  • Provide qualified appointments to the Business Development team, working closely with the team as necessary for potential opportunities
  • Proactively look for opportunities to optimize outbound lead management
  • Delivering individual daily/weekly activity volume, sales meeting goals, and opportunity production


  • 1-2 years of experience in B2B SaaS or software sales
  • Sales training and CRM/ experience
  • Proven track record achieving measurable sales goals in an automated sales environment where accurate entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
  • A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible lead follow-up and sales development at multiple executive levels within an organization
  • Four-year university degree or equivalent experience

Extra Credit

  • Knowledge of and/or experience working with associations and 501(c)3 or 501(c)6 organizations
  • This position is remote, but candidates located in Eastern Time Zone are preferred
  • Experience with Gong software is a plus
